Ayaka has been making miniature food since 2023.
I have been crafting miniature food since 2023, but the journey began a little earlier—at the end of 2022, when I returned to Japan. During the year-end and New Year holidays, I visited my aunt, who had been making miniature food for over a decade. Watching her work, I was instantly captivated. She kindly taught me her techniques, and from the moment I shaped my first tiny creation, I was hooked.
I have always been drawn to intricate art forms, like nail art, so the world of miniature food felt like a natural fit. Using resin clay, I practiced tirelessly, refining my skills piece by piece. In the spring of 2024, I took a big step and exhibited my work for the first time at an art market. The response was heartwarming—customers praised my pieces as “adorable” and “amazingly realistic.”
Encouraged by their words, I continue to create, experiment, and improve every day, bringing tiny, delicious-looking art to life.
